    Note:

    15% seats are reserved under Foreign / NRI / PIO / Institutional Quota Merit Category. Candidates seeking admissions to the seats of this category will have to apply on prescribed application form and submit the same to, The Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune. Indian Students under Institutional Quota merit category will have to appear for B-UMAT-2017. Seats remaining vacant after allotment to Foreign / NRI /PIO students(based on merit), will be allotted to Indian students under Institutional Quota merit category based on the marks obtained by them in B-UMAT-2017. The last date for submission of form to this category is before 5.00 p.m.

     

     

      ELIGIBILITY

     

    (i) A candidate applying for the BBA/BCA Programme should have passed HSC (10+2) or equivalent examination from any statutory board situated in India. The candidates who have appeared at the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply provided they complete their examination including practical Examinations, viva / assignments on or before the day of

    admission to the institute of their choice. Such candidates will have to produce marks statement at the time of admission. The admission of student, will remain provisional until the other necessary certificates in original, are submitted to the institute. The last date to submit all the certificates (except statement of marks) in original shall be 25-8-17, if certificates are not submitted by the said date or the eligibility is not granted, the admission would automatically stand cancelled. Under no circumstances will an extension of the deadline be made.

    (ii) The candidate should be an Indian national.

     

     

      BASIS OF SELECTION FOR ADMISSION

     

    3.1 A candidate desirous of seeking admission to BBA/BCA programme should fulfil the minimum eligibility condition as laid in (2) above.

    3.2 He / she must have appeared for the B-UMAT-2017 Test.

    3.3 The candidates shall be offered admission on the basis of his/her rank in the Combined BBA / BCA merit list and availability of the seats for the programme at a particular institute of the candidates' choice. The candidate has to mention the choice of the institute in the application form.

    3.4 i) In the case of candidates securing equal number of marks in the Entrance Test, candidates will be ranked according to their percentage of marks scored at SSC or its equivalent examination.

    Ii) When the marks scored in the entrance test, percentage of marks at SSC are the same, candidate will be ranked on basis of computerised random numbering.

     

      NATURE OF ENTRANCE TEST : B-UMAT-2017

     

    4.1 The Entrance Test B-UMAT-2017 for admission to BBA/BCA Programme will be conducted on 4-6-17, from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Candidates have to be present at the centre of examination at 9.30 a.m. positively.

    4.2 The B-UMAT-2017 Test will be of in all, 200 marks. It will consist of 200 multiple choice questions of one mark each with four alternatives for each, with only one right/probable choice. There is no negative marking. The break-up of questions will be as follows:

    Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (Test Name: NPAT)

    Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) – Masters in Management Studies (MMS) is a unique dual degree program offered to students on the basis of Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) at the end of 2nd year which should be 3.0 or above and the top 120 students who meet this eligibility criteria will be offered to enroll for the MMS Program from 3rd year of BBA program. However, the students will retain the option to exit from the program after the successful completion of the program (BBA) after the 3rd year. (Offered only in Mumbai campus). Admission for above mentioned programmes is through NPAT conducted by the NMIMS.

     

    Structure of the Test - NPAT

    The NPAT is an objective type multiple-choice test. (There will be no descriptive type of questions).

    • The Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination including International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB Certificate / & D.P. Awarded candidates are not eligible) in any stream from a recognized board at the first & only one attempt. AND
    • Must have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks at 10+2 or equivalent examination for being eligible to B.Com. (Hons.) program & 60% aggregate marks for being eligible to B.B.A. & B.Sc. Finance Program.
    • Candidate's passing in Mathematics / Statistics at 10+2 or equivalent exam is compulsory for being eligible to B.B.A / B. Com (Hons) / B.Sc. Finance.
    • Candidates of CBSE, ICSE, should mention in the online registration / e-admission form (if selected) 10+2 or equivalent aggregate marks of all the subjects for which the candidate has taken & appeared for (not best of four, five, six or seven). The candidate shall have passed all the subjects has taken & appeared for in the applicable examination/s. The aggregate percentage of all subjects for which the candidate has taken & appeared will be taken into consideration for confirming eligibility of the candidate for the program at the time of admission.
    • In case mark sheet issued by the applicable Board / Institution is in percentile/s, the actual aggregate percentage of all the subjects appeared by the candidate will be taken into consideration.
    • Candidates above 25 years of age are not eligible to apply.
    • For IB & Cambridge Candidate: Candidates who do not have final mark sheet will be given “Provisional Admission” based on predicted scores. Fees will be accepted from such candidate but their admission will be confirmed on submission of final mark sheet before the commencement of the program if found eligible. 
    • Submission of AIU equivalence certificate to confirm the eligibility for the program is mandatory for those candidates who have completed their (10+2) examination from Overseas Universities.
    • Candidates passing 10+2 or equivalent examination from Open or Distance learning (ODL) School recognized only by National Institute of Open schooling (NIOS) can apply for the program subject to fulfillment of the eligibility criteria for the program and candidates who have passed the10+2 or equivalent examination by doing a part-time course or through distance learning / correspondence / externally / open school other than NIOS are not eligible to apply for the program.
    • Those candidates who have passed, or, are appearing for 10+2 examination from a Board/University where Grade Point Average is given, such candidates must produce in writing from the Board/University concerned, the equivalent percentage for the GPA /CGPA obtained.
    • Candidate whose final marksheet is not available at the time of admission is required to submit internet copy of result duly attested by Principal of the school / college, failing which candidate will not be admitted for the program.
    • Only single marksheet with all compulsory subjects taken and passed in only one and the first attempt is mandatory, no compartmentalized mark sheet will be considered.
    • Candidate appearing for their final 10+2 or equivalent examination can also apply provided they obtain the required minimum cut off marks and also produce the entire necessary documents, in original, within the given stipulated time.

    • You need to upload your latest scanned photograph at the time of registration.
    • Follow the instructions for payment of test fee of Rs. 1500/- on the SET Website.
    • Print “admit card” directly from the SET Website.
    • Bring the admit card and a photo identity proof to the test centre. It will be authenticated during the Test. (Candidates shall preserve the authenticated admit card till the admission processes of the desired Symbiosis institutes are over.)
    • If the admit card is lost, no duplicate admit card will be issued.
    • Appear for the test.
